About benton & Benton

Benton & Benton have been serving the people of Phenix City, Russell County and Lee County going back to 1979. Founded by William (Billy) J. Benton, Jr., the firm then welcomed his father, William (Bill) Benton, Sr., a former Russell County District Attorney.  Bill felt he could serve more people by going into private practice. In 2000, Billy’s son, Brian, joined the firm. Even with the generational change, the lawyers at Benton & Benton still offer clients over 70 years of combined legal experience. We’re also still committed to the same down-to-earth, family-oriented way of doing business.

When clients come through our doors, they’re never seen as just a number or another case to be processed. We want to find out who they are on a personal level. We want to really understand their legal issue from the perspective of the toll it’s taking on their life. We want to lift that burden and give clients peace of mind while we work diligently toward the desired outcome.
